New York City’s famous Fashion Week is coming up February 1-8. Although this week-long frenzy of runway shows and papparazzi is not open to the general public, you still get in on the action and feel like one of the fashion elite with a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Now through April 13, the Costume Institute on the museum’s ground floor features a special exhibit made possible by none other than fashion icon Manolo Blahnik. Titled blog.mode:addressing fashion, the exhibit showcases some forty costumes and accessories from the 1700’s to the present and invites visitors to share their thoughts online or through a “blogbar” in the exhibit galleries. Check out the exhibit’s blog to read about the fabulous shoes, accessories, and more!
