Boston and New York are long-term sports rivals (just ask any Yankees or Red Sox fan). So, New York football fans had ample reason to celebrate Sunday night after the Giants defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. The Giants return to the city today for a victory parade.
Despite rainy weather, about 3 million football fans are expected to turn out. The parade begins at 11 am in Battery Park, then goes up Broadway to Chambers Street. There will also be ceremonies at City Hall starting at 1 pm.
