In Hawaii, they say the Aloha spirit is alive in everyone and everything that touches the islands. So, why wouldn’t it be found on a seven-person bicycle tour? Social Motion is a bike tour where the Aloha spirit thrives. On this unique and entertaining “party bike,” up to seven tour guests can ride at the same time, while all contributing to the motion of this Willy Wonkaesque bicycle--a new model which took artist Eric Staller 4 years to craft. Eric’s vision was to inspire people to “get out of their cars and off their sofas and get silly.” He also believed the revolutionary design would bring people together. The shape and structure of the bike, 6 seats which face one another in a circle, make it easier to converse with other riders while enjoying a 360 view of their surroundings. Eric Staller believed that the camaraderie of working together can inspire and invigorate everyone into motion.
In Maui, bicycle tour guests enjoy a 30-min leisurely ride as their fun-filled tour guide steers them through the historic whaling town of Lahina. Along the way, the guide engages passengers with local flavor and points out historical sites and landmarks including the Baldwin House, the famous Banya tree, and homes and old haunts of Hawaiian royalty.
As a rule, tour guests are always free (and encouraged!) to chat among themselves, giggle while they soak up the Hawaiian sunshine. Eric Staller would be proud to see you “get silly” on this Social Motion Bike Tour.
